Blue Mountains in winter is something else
The ski hills at Blue Mountain Resort are genuinely fun - good runs for all levels and the snow was great. Totally worth it for a weekend escape from the city. Crowds were manageable and staff were super friendly.
Perfect getaway if you love the outdoors
The hiking around Georgian Trail is just beautiful - easy trails with stunning views of Georgian Bay. Not too strenuous but still feels rewarding. The whole area feels clean and well looked after. Great place to clear your head.
Great skiing, cozy village feel
Blue Mountain Village has this really cozy pedestrian area with shops, restaurants and fire pits you can just hang around. The slopes were in solid condition in January and the après-ski options were decent too. Felt relaxed the whole stay.
Really enjoyed the whole area
Came here mainly to ski but ended up loving the village just as much. The BeaverTails pastry stand near the base was a nice treat after a day on the slopes. Warm, doughy, covered in cinnamon sugar - exactly what you need in the cold.
So much to do here beyond skiing
Didn't realise how much the area offered outside of winter sports. The Scenic Caves Nature Adventures is worth doing - the suspension bridge alone is a highlight. Loads of outdoor options and the scenery around the Niagara Escarpment is genuinely impressive.
Lovely Christmas break with the family
Blue Mountain Village during the holidays is really festive without being overwhelming. The kids loved the snow tubing and we all enjoyed just walking around the village in the evenings. Restaurants were good and the whole place felt safe and easy to get around.
